Hyperhidrosis – Excessive Sweating
Botulinum toxin type A (BOTOX) injections are appropriate for moderate to severe hyperhidrosis sufferers. Injection with botulinum toxin type A interrupts the signal from the nerve to the sweat gland to reduce the sweating in the area that is affected.
For treatment of the underarms, face and head, anaesthesia is often not required, but for treatment of the hands and feet, local anaesthesia is used to avoid injection discomfort.
The effect can take up to a week and can last longer than a year. Your sweating will return gradually, and your own comfort will dictate when you should repeat treatment.

Dysport / Botox® cosmetic is a purified protein that relaxes the muscles that are causing fine lines & wrinkles. It targets deep wrinkles that maybe caused by repeated muscular contractions, such as frowning & squinting. Administered in low doses by small injections into the muscles that are causing stubborn lines, such as between the eye brows, crows feet & forehead. This non surgical treatment can temporarily reduce lines in patients 18 – 85 years of age. The non-surgical treatment is minimally invasive & requires no recovery time with very little discomfort. The goal is to soften lines and wrinkles while maintaining your natural appearance.
The number of units required will be discussed during your consultation with the physician. Most clients will spend in the range of $100 – $500 for Botox® treatment.
